This full day tour departs from Windermere Tourist Information Centre and traverses through the heart of the Lakes, beside Ullswater and on towards Penrith and the Scottish Borders. Discover the remote Debatable Lands travelling to Lanercost Priory, visiting old churches and priory ruins. Follow Hadrians Wall, as it passes Mile Castles and Towers, seeing the spectacular Fell End, Sunny Rigg, Great Chester and finally Steel Rigg.
The day concludes as you return to Windermere via Alston, England's highest market town, stopping at the Hartside Pass with superb views across Cumbria.

This full day rail trip departing from London's Euston Station is the ideal way to explore the Lake District if time is precious!
On arrival at Oxenholme a local guide will meet the group and take you on a tour of the Lake District. Enjoy a spectacular cruise on Lake Coniston and visit the medieval village of Hawkshead, an enchanting combination of whitewashed houses and cobbled streets.
